Qualifications

•    Doctor of Optometry (O.D) from an accredited Optometry School
•    Must hold current TPA (Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents) Certification and DPA (Administration of Topical Diagnostic Pharmaceuticals) Certification
•    Seeking both experienced – 2 years or above and newly trained providers
•    Must pass National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) exam
•    Must possess current, unrestricted New York State Optometrist license 
•    Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll
•    Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) 
•    Excellent understanding of HEDIS quality measures related to Ophthalmology. (R)
•    Working knowledge of pharmacology and evidence-based treatments for eye conditions and diseases (R)
•    Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written
•    Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
•    Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
•    Interest in Population Health Management.

Typically, new hires may not start at the top of this range, as compensation is tailored to each individual's circumstances. For union positions, salaries will be determined according to the collective bargaining agreement.
