The Lead Technical Engineer assists staff with technical support of desktop/laptop computers, desk side phones, printers, peripherals, applications and related technology. Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Responsible for running projects with minimal supervision and performs on-call duties as required. Project examples: Medical office hardware deployments, Enterprise system migrations, KACE management deployment and UPS installation/ configuration.


  • Installation of hardware and software configurations, moves of PCs, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer systems, hardware and peripherals for ACPNY. 
  • Recognizes and escalates difficult technical scenarios within the organization or to external vendors.
  • Works with L3 support and Sr. leadership to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Prioritizes both time and projects, working independently.
  • Ability to work with cutting edge technology and assimilate information rapidly
  • Conduct weekly team’s meetings and breakout sessions to discuss and formulate a plan to resolve technical issues
  • Creates Knowledge Base Articles and Technical Notes.
  • Provides on-call technical support.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.



  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • Network Plus Certification preferred
  • Three to five years of technical support in a Windows environment including the installation and configuration of hardware including desktops, notebooks, printers, and scanners with excellent customer service skills required
  • Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, Azure, DATP or similar products required
  • Experience with VMware, vSphere, patch management and solid foundation on overall endpoint security management required
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise antimalware solution and remediation processes required
  • Create and implement risk mitigation processes and conduct security audits to determine weaknesses in operating system and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting and creating batch files for application installs, configurations and automation
  • Extensive experience in examining, investigating and solving dynamic problems with ability to think "out-of-the-box” and develop creative solutions required
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision required
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively required
  • Networking experience, including strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing and switching concepts preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR, PACs and other clinical system preferred
